My Story

What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?

Work means creating the very best iteration of anything. As my mother always told me, if it's worth doing, it's worth being the best at it. Since I started an organic tobacco company, she probably regrets that exhortation.

What makes you most proud of the work you do?

Most think it's as easy as it looks (hey, there I am working alongside one of my cigarette girls preaching the gospel of organic tobacco at a party I sponsored at Art Basel last year). What they don't see is that there were some rough years scraping for all press mentions and any relevancy. And I spent a lot of time questioning if I should hold this course. It's always darkest just before the dawn. #WorkingInAmerica
