My Story
What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?
Tutoring requires a LOT of emotional support, mainly to the wealthy parents fretting that their child isn't smart enough - it's weird to take on the actually easy task of supplementing a kid's English class education and then spend the rest of the time reassuring the parent that their kid ISN'T a failure. You can really see the negative impacts of false meritocracies when you're a private tutor.
What makes you most proud of the work you do?
When kids actually have fun learning the subject, not necessarily getting an A. The parents care about the As.
