My Story
What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?
People think being a librarian is a quiet, stress-free job. In fact, it's a constant challenge to provide everything we want to give our community with limited time, staffing, money, and other resources. It's a lot of customer service, often dealing with people who are stressed and at the end of their ropes.
What makes you most proud of the work you do?
When I can figure out a way to get people what they need - whether it's printing important legal paperwork, figuring out the answer to a challenging question, or making a kid's eyes light up with a book about their favorite topic.
