My Story

What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?

It takes a self-aware person to be a volunteer. Not many will volunteer their time to serve community. I serve domestically and international in capacities that include and are not limited to education equity, women-empowerment, adequate housing and policy change. The work doesn't pay and I am not given public recognition for it. Hard to explain from where my currency flows. "Joy" is the best word.

What makes you most proud of the work you do?

The joy one encounters when you know you've made a tiny impact (that won't necessarily be publicized) is simply indescribable. In essence, I serve simply because it is the right thing to do. In my own way, I get to show and share God's unconditional love.
