My Story

What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?

So many of our grantees—often the most influential human rights activists in their societies—face threats to their lives on a daily basis. I especially worry about those fighting to protect women and girls and save forests and rivers as they are most at risk for violence.

What makes you most proud of the work you do?

Work is an art through which we provide the material support to create pockets of enduring social justice. Through a partnership with American philanthropists and activists, courageous leaders, and changemakers in the developing world, we craft a better world.
